Gardman Garden Living Boost at Glee

Gardman’s 2011/ 2012 garden living range has already attracted considerable trade interest at its earlier than usual launch in June, but it will be boosted by dozens of brand new products on show on the Gardman stand at Glee.

Spectacular new topiary products and border decor will be highlights at the exhibition.  In addition the new candles collection is on show for the first time, with 18 different fragrances represented in the Cole & Bright range along with some stunning candle hardware products.  All ranges launched in June are available now with the new products launched at Glee available in January 2012.

Marketing director Jane Lawler says, “Garden living is an important growth area for us and the early launch has been a great success.  But exposure at Glee is also crucial for us to reach an optimum number of our trade customers.”

Gardman is always expected to deliver a long list of new products, and this year is no exception. But with challenging financial pressures on consumers, we’re now focussing on products with a wider band of price points, from entry level lines right up to statement pieces. The other area of particular emphasis is on merchandising and display where we’re investing in the further development of our Atlas stands to make inspirational displays of decorative items easy for retailers to replicate. We’ll be demonstrating how this category approach can work on our new stand at Glee.

Topiary

Gardman’s topiary range has been one of the success stories of 2010 and 2011 due to the products’ natural look and low maintenance needs.  The company will be launching 11 new UV and weather resistant lifelike and fashionable products at Glee to build on this success.

New topiary shapes include the 80cm topiary ball tree, the 80cm Cypress topiary swirl and the 135 cm leaf topiary swirl.  There are new designs with LED lights such as pre-lit balls in 30cm and 40cm sizes, and 30 cm purple flower and white flower effect, purple heather effect and pink heather effect topiary balls which will also be highlights of the show.  In addition, there are natural looking box leaf effect and leaf effect topiary balls.

As usual Gardman is offering class-leading merchandising which facilitates both attractive displays and easy-to-access stock for consumers.

Wallart, clocks and thermometers

Wallart, clocks and thermometers for the garden proved such a hit with trade customers last year that Gardman believes there is even greater potential for the 2012 range.

Fifteen new wallart products, eight clocks and thermometers boost the range which includes more colour and decorative effects in the designs.  The price hierarchy stretches from £6.99 to £99.99 (at retail).

The entry price point Mini Clematis and Forget-me-not wallart will be seen at Glee for the first time.  Another new wallart product at Glee is the Mountford Tealight wallart which retails at £24.99.

Also new at Glee since the June launch is the introduction of a fabulous statement piece, the Chamberlain Roman Numeral Clock retailing for £99.99.

Candles and candle hardware

Gardman has given its Cole & Bright candle and candle hardware range a major revamp by extending the choice and updating the designs and improving the quality, particularly in terms of the range and intensity of fragrances.  There are 84 new products in the candles range and 36 new candle hardware products.

As well as small, medium and large jar candles, the range also includes room sprays, oil and reed diffusers, floating candles, dinner candles and a set of votives.

The Cole & Bright candle hardware range includes new coloured plates, mirrored plates, wall sconces as well as contemporary and traditional tealight holders and tealight holder border stakes.  The lantern range has also been updated to include larger black metal lanterns and steel lanterns.

A brand new introduction to Glee is two sizes of a dramatic black and silver metal Moroccan style Bedouin Lantern.

In a market which is continuing to grow, Gardman has updated its range to reflect more modern, contemporary tastes, ensuring that it is broad enough to appeal to all audiences.

Border stakes

Border stakes have been another big success story for Gardman with the big (160cm) black flower border stakes launched in June being a clear winner.

First to be seen at Glee are four new-to-market Spinner Border Stakes, each also 160cm tall with a 50cm head.  The innovative market leading designs and detailed metal construction will impress, as will the spinning head which will provide movement in garden borders.

Also on show will be the new border décor products launched in June.

Doormats

In addition to ranging doormats under the Gardman brand, the company is launching new products under the premium Moulton Mill brand, representing ‘affordable, enviable style’.
