Gardman appoints Director- Environment and Conservation

Gardman has appointed Dr Nick Carter to the newly created position of director – environment and conservation, underlining the company’s commitment to become as ‘green’ as possible. Announcing the appointment, Gardman’s founder Paris Natar said “As the UK’s leading wild bird care and garden product supplier it is essential that we respond positively to the many challenges posed by climate change within the global economy. Nick comes to us with a wealth of experience and knowledge in this field, and is the ideal person to drive forward and achieve our objectives”.
Dr Carter, who is a fellow of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, joins Gardman from the British Trust for Ornithology, where he spent 15 years as director of development. Prior to this he worked as an agricultural entomologist.
