Gardman has made seven significant acquisitions since foundation in 1993
1993 - EFG Garden Leisure Division: The December 1993 acquisition of EFG plc's garden leisure division at Pinchbeck necessitated a move, lock stock and barrel from Gardman's birthplace in Buckinghamshire to Lincolnshire and provided a strong logistical platform for future growth.
1999 - Erin Ltd: The acquisition of Erin in July 1999 boosted Gardman Wild Bird Care, Hanging Gardening, Arch & Obelisk and Propagation sales.
2000 - Rainbow Garden Products ( USA ): The February 2000 acquisition of a majority shareholding in Rainbow LLC in Atlanta USA gave Gardman its first significant international dimension. Now re-branded as Gardman USA Inc the company has grown significantly and represents approximately 50% of our international business.
2001 - D4N or Design for Nature: This acquisition further strengthened our rapidly growing Wild Bird Care business.
2005 - Willowdale Brand: The September acuisition of the Willowdale brand and business gave us skills and coverage in the footwear and doormat sectors and the potential for considerable growth in these areas.
2006 - Parnell Lang & the Ernest Charles brand: The November acquisition of this company has given Gardman an additional low cost bird seed manufacturing facility and a strong entrée into the pet retailer sector.
