In the beginning...

Gardman was founded by Paris Natar in 1992 with the help of Julia Lockyear, an enterprising housewife from Surrey who was selling Coco Liners for Hanging Baskets. The company began trading in February 1993 and in its first financial year ended January 1994, achieved sales of just £1.4m.
